Cameron ClyneGroup Chief Executive Officer |
Cameron Clyne became Group Chief Executive Officer of National Australia Bank and a Director of the National Australia Bank Board in January 2009.
Cameron was previously Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of BNZ from January 2007, with responsibility for its strategic positioning and performance, and over 5000 employees. During this time he also served as Chairman of the Bank of New Zealand Save the Kiwi Trust and the New Zealand Bankers Association.
Cameron joined the Group in 2004 as a member of the Group Executive Committee, working on a range of strategic issues as Executive General Manager, Group Development, and Executive General Manager, Customer Solutions.
Prior to joining NAB, Cameron’s extensive experience in the financial services industry included more than 12 years with PricewaterhouseCoopers, culminating in leading the Financial Services Industry practice in Asia Pacific, prior to the acquisition by IBM Consulting. During his consulting career he worked with many of the world’s leading banks in Australia, New Zealand, Europe and Asia.
In 2008 Cameron was one of 245 individuals selected as a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum. The Forum of Young Global Leaders is a unique community of up to 300 people worldwide, who dedicate part of their time to jointly address global challenges including health, education, the environment, global governance and security, and development and poverty.

Lisa GrayGroup Executive Personal Banking |
Lisa Gray is Group Executive Personal Banking for National Australia Bank. Lisa was appointed to this position in March 2009 from her previous role as Executive General Manager, Retail Bank Australia in October 2008, having previously worked as Chief Operating Officer - Retail Banking, Regional General Manager, Retail Financial Services and General Manager, Deposits & Retail Transactions.
Prior to joining NAB in December 2004, Lisa was CEO of MLC Wealth Protection, CEO & Managing Director of Plum Financial Services and General Manager, Marketing and Subsidiaries at AXA Australia/NZ.
Lisa is the 1999 winner of the Telstra Businesswoman’s award for medium-sized enterprises and in 1991-92 was awarded the prestigious Rupert Murdoch Scholarship for leadership and management.
Lisa currently holds board directorships with St. Vincent’s and Mercy Private Hospital and the Australian Graduate School of Entrepreneurship (AGSE) at Swinburne University.

Andrew HaggerGroup Executive People, Marketing & Communications |
Andrew joined National Australia Bank in 2008 to lead the Private & Institutional Wealth business. In May 2009 Andrew was appointed Executive General Manager of MLC & NAB Wealth's Insurance business and in October 2010 was appointed Group Executive, Corporate Affairs & Marketing before taking up his current position in October 2011.
Prior to joining NAB, Andrew spent 21 years with PricewaterhouseCoopers in a number of capacities, including Melbourne Managing Partner and as a member of PwC's Firmwide Leadership Team.
Andrew has a Masters of Applied Finance degree (Macquarie University), a Bachelor of Economics degree (University of Adelaide) and is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia.
He is currently Chair of the Olivia Newton-John Cancer & Wellness Centre Appeal Committee.

Michaela HealeyGroup Executive Group Governance |
Michaela joined National Australia Bank in 2006 and was appointed Group Executive Group Governance in March 2009. In addition to this role Michaela is also Group Company Secretary for the organisation.
Prior to joining the NAB Michaela worked at North Limited and then Orica, the world’s largest manufacturer of commercial explosives and Australia’s largest chemical company. During her time at Orica she was company secretary, corporate affairs manager and established a new retail services business for the Orica Consumer Products businesses of Dulux, Yates and Selleys.
Michaela spent her early professional years as a corporate lawyer and working as legal counsel and a company secretary.
Michaela is a founding director of ShareGift Australia.

Joseph HealyGroup Executive Business Banking |
Joseph Healy was appointed Group Executive Business Banking in March 2009, from his previous position as Executive General Manager of National Australia Bank’s business and private banking.
Joseph is responsible for the bank’s relationships with SME, Corporate and Institutional clients in Australia, as well as Leveraged and Acquisition Finance, Integrated Capital Solutions, Financing Products and Working Capital Services.
Prior to joining NAB in early 2007, Joseph was Managing Director, Global Client Relationship Banking at ANZ Bank. Joseph worked in London for Lloyds Bank, CIBC World Markets and Citicorp. A career banker, his experience covers debt and equity capital markets, corporate and structured finance, private equity, risk management and relationship management.
A graduate of the University of London - London Business School, he holds a MSc and MBA and is the author of a corporate finance textbook.
Joseph is a director of the Football Federation of Australia (FFA).

Mark JoinerExecutive Director, Finance |
Mark joined NAB in 2006 and is Executive Director, Finance. He was appointed Chairman of the JBWere Board in July 2011. His previous role was Group Chief Financial Officer, a role he took up in late 2007. Mark previously held the position of Group Executive General Manager Development and New Business.
Prior to joining NAB, Mark was CFO and Head of Strategy and Mergers & Acquisitions for Citigroup's Global Wealth Management business, based in New York. Before entering banking, he was with strategy consulting firm, Boston Consulting Group for 16 years, working out of various Australian and US offices.
Mark is originally from the UK where he qualified as a Chartered Accountant, and has an MBA with distinction from the University of Melbourne.

Bruce MunroGroup Chief Risk Officer |
Bruce Munro is NAB’s Group Chief Risk Officer and was appointed to the role in January 2009. His previous role was Chief Executive Officer, NAB Asia, where he was responsible for operations including Hong Kong, China, Singapore, Japan and India.
Previously Bruce was Regional General Manager Specialised Businesses, responsible for the business segments of Healthcare, Government Business, Education, Agribusiness, Food, Fibre & Beverage as well as Succession and Specialised Services.
In November 2005, he was the Chief Operating Officer for NAB’s Business Bank and managed a diverse portfolio of business units. Bruce joined NAB in December 2004 after a lengthy career with the Commonwealth Bank (CBA), including an extensive involvement in the payments industry.

Rick SawersGroup Executive Wholesale Banking |
Rick Sawers was appointed Group Executive Wholesale Banking in March 2009 from his previous position as Deputy CEO of nabCapital, the global wholesale and investment banking division of National Australia Bank Limited, a role he took up in October 2007. Rick was previously Group Treasurer for NAB Group from April 2005.
Rick’s financial markets specialties include capital, funding, liquidity, FX and interest rate risk management. He has 35 years of experience in commercial, wholesale and international banking, including 25 years with the NAB Group and ten years with ANZ.
Rick completed an executive business course at Harvard Business School and is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD) and a fellow of the Financial Services Institute of Australia (FINSIA).

Gavin SlaterGroup Executive, Group Business Services |
Gavin Slater is the Group Executive for Group Business Services, responsible for the Australian-based operations and service functions for the bank. Gavin is accountable for technology, payments, operations processing, property, procurement and key HR services. In addition, Gavin is responsible for critical enterprise transformation initiatives such as the upgrade to the Bank's core banking systems under the Next Generation Program, upgrades to technology infrastructure and network services, and leadership of the Bank's key environment and sustainability programs.
Since joining NAB in 1999, Gavin has held a number of key executive positions including Chief Financial Officer for the Australian Bank, Group General Manager, Foreign Exchange Remedial Action Program, and most recently, Executive Director (Deputy CEO) for NAB’s Clydesdale and Yorkshire Banks in the UK from 2005 until February 2009.
Gavin started his career at the Standard Bank of South Africa and prior to joining NAB, spent four years at PricewaterhouseCoopers. Gavin has a Bachelor of Commerce, is a fellow of the Certified Practising Accountants and a graduate member of the Institute of Company Directors.
In 2011 Gavin was appointed as a Director of the Bank of New Zealand Board and a Foundation Member for the not-for-profit organisation, Very Special Kids.

Andrew ThorburnGroup Executive New Zealand, Asia and the United States |
Andrew Thorburn was appointed Group Executive New Zealand, Asia and the United States in March 2009. Andrew is also Managing Director and CEO at BNZ, taking up this role in October 2008. He was previously Executive General Manager of Retail Banking at National Australia Bank.
With over twenty years in the industry, Andrew has extensive experience both sides of the Tasman: ten years at ASB in New Zealand, followed by senior roles at CBA, St George and NAB in Australia.
Andrew has previously held roles in retail, marketing and strategy. He was Director of MLC from 2005-08, the wealth management division of NAB.
He graduated from Auckland University with a Bachelor of Commerce (Economics) and completed a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Durham in the UK.

David ThorburnGroup Executive, United Kingdom |
David has been a Board Director of Clydesdale Bank PLC since 2002. In 2008, he became Executive Director UK and also joined the Board of National Australia Group Europe Ltd. He was appointed CEO designate in March 2011 and took up the role of CEO for Europe on 1 July 2011. He is a member of the Group Executive Committee.
David joined Clydesdale Bank in 1978 as a graduate trainee with a degree in law from the University of Glasgow. In 1999 he completed the Advanced Management Programme at Harvard Graduate Business School. David is a Chartered Banker and a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Bankers in Scotland.
David was appointed to the position of Chief Operating Officer, Clydesdale Bank in 2002 and assumed the same responsibilities for Yorkshire Bank in late 2004; having previously been General Manager, Business Banking , for Clydesdale and Yorkshire Banks.
During the period from 1984-1993, David held a variety of roles with TSB Scotland PLC.
David was Chairman of CBI Scotland 2007-2009; he is a past President of the Chartered Institute of Bankers in Scotland (CIOBS) and is an Ambassador for the Prince and Princess of Wales Hospice. He is a former Director of Scottish Financial Enterprise and a former Chairman of the Advisory Board of Strathclyde Graduate Business School.
David currently chairs the Scottish Financial Services Industry Skills Gateway and is a member of the CIOBS Professional Standards Board.

Steve TuckerGroup Executive Wealth |
Appointed Group Executive Wealth in March 2009, Steve Tucker is the CEO of MLC, the wealth management division of National Australia Bank. Steve was appointed CEO in October 2004, and previously Steve led MLC’s Retail Investments business, a position he took up in July 2003.
Prior to this, Steve led MLC’s Advice business for more than three years, where he was responsible for MLC’s partnership with financial advisers. Steve joined MLC in 1988.
Steve is a Director on the IFSA Board, a Senior Associate of the ABA as well as a Director of a number of NAB Companies. Steve holds an economics degree from UWA.
